The Owners
We are Lisa and Steve, we’ve lived in Worthing for nearly 15 years. We both have a passion for health and fitness and one day thought to ourselves why not turn that passion into a business and help others along the way. That is how Yes You Can Gym was born. Outside of the gym you’ll often find us walking our 3 dogs or ferrying one of our 3 teenagers about. We also love to eat out, watch TV and play boardgames.
Lisa – I’m not a natural sportsperson and hated PE at school. I tried multiple types of fitness and while I knew it made me feel good I could never stick to anything. Then Steve introduced me to weightlifting, I’ll be honest and say I found it difficult at first but it didn’t take long and I was hooked. I loved the workouts, loved how I felt afterwards and I love the long term effects. Studying to become a PT and learning the huge range of health benefits of weight training has increased my love of weight training even more.
Steve – I, like my wife Lisa, have a genuine passion for fitness, especially strength training. Having trained on and off and sometimes badly over the years, my change in mentality came whilst being coached and finding the corner of fitness that I love. That transferred into me wanting to help people find the part of fitness that ticks their box. So mine and Lisa’s journey bring us here to Yes You Can Gym. Being a member of several gyms over the years, I’ve looked at all the things that have been promised but rarely delivered and we’re trying to do things differently. I love to talk (which isn’t always a good thing!) so come and talk, I promise we’ll listen and work together for as long as you want.
